Steve
was born in Parkersburg,
West Virginia on March 15, 1956. Just like
Mary, his place of birth was St. Joseph's Hospital.
However, there are many hospitals that have the same names and like Pittsburgh, Parkersburg had its own St. Joseph's Hospital.
Ar the age of 3, Steve,
his brother Dave, and his parents JoAnn and Donald Dunn moved to Crafton,
PA. JoAnn and Donald lived in Parkersburg their entire life, so the move to Pittsburgh was a change for them as their entire families still remained in Parkersburg.
However, for Steve, growing up in Crafton has many a fond memory. Friendships from childhood still remain.
After Steve graduated from Carlynton high school, Steve and a few friends took a cross country trip to the Grand Tetons. It was quite an experience climing through the mountains and really brought a compassionate side for the beauty and spendor of so many wonders America has to offer,
Besides the interest in nature, he began to take an interest in music at an earlier age.. While
in his teens, he began playing bass.
Steve
was a member of a few bands, John Street and
Wireless. Recently, Steve became a member of a new band The Blue. The band plays classic rock. Members include: Snuffy Schmit on vocals, Don Poth on guitar, Dennis Fonzi on drums, Steve Dunn on bass, and Gary Schwartz is the sound man. If you enjoy cover bands with some original tunes by Don Poth, come and see these guys. They are really good. You can get the gig dates on MySpace.
Another
favorite past-time for Steve is watching the
NASCAR races.
Although Steve enjoys the races and spends most
of his Sundays watching who wins, his dedication
lies in bodybuilding and good health.
If one would ask about Steve and his nature, it would eas
ily be said he is a kind hearted talented musician who enjoys life to its fullest.
